Black Uhuru has not released an album for decades ! The many battles around the name and the many changes of line-up have of course not arranged things, but here is the great discographical return of the mythical Jamaican formation. The opus As the World Turns will be released on September 7th. Duckie Simpson, founder of the band and historically choir-bound, is the lead vocal on the first few excerpts, Jah Guide with Bugle (unveiled last year) and the brand new Chalice , but it's unclear this is his voice or that of Andrew Bees(current singer on Black Uhuru's concerts) on the 14 other tracks that make up this album. We know however that we will find featurings with Agent Sasco and Prezident Brown. Well, Michael Rose is not part of it, but we are still happy to hear something new at Black Uhuru
